Bringing life to a cave of the last century, we have aimed to create a unique accommodation combining luxurious hospitality with true contact with nature.
Coming together with the sun, the sea, and the food within the Cretan landscape, we strive to reflect a relaxed philosophical view of life, centered on well-being.
The place was first inhabited around 1850 as our family's first residence. At the time the upper house, above the cave, was built, the space below was used as a storage for agricultural products (oil, wheat, and wine).
During World War II, the cave served as a refuge for a large of the local population.
In 2007, this special space was renovated with great care using natural materials of the area, while maintaining the original style, unchanged.
We hope that in this way we can contribute to some extent to the preservation of our cultural heritage and to its authentic transmission in the present and future.
